George Thomas Allen was bo on July 12, 1918 in Brockton, Mass to his parents Thomas and Rose (Comeau) Allen. He passed away on February 4, 2016 in Cape Coral, FL.

George and his late wife Elaine moved to Cape Coral from Windsor Locks, CT in 1986. While in Windsor Locks, he was employed at Hamilton Standard for 42 years. He attended St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Survivors include his children Patricia (William) Sideravage, Joyce (Bruce) Weston, and Thomas J. (Diane) Allen; grandchildren Wendy, Lori, Bill, Jr., Darcy, Scott, Michael, David and Steven; great grandchildren Ricky, Ashley, Brittany, Amanda, Nicole, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Lauren, Taylor, Cameron, Sean and Christina; great great grandson Justin, and his sister Jeanette Goflin, nieces and nephews Billy, Sandy, and Jeff; and his beloved pets Ginger and Sissy. George is preceded in death by his late wife Elaine, son George Jr., his siblings Rosella, Evelyn, Virginia, Beatrice, and Mary; George served proudly with the US Navy during WWII. He was an avid fisherman and his passion was to fish with his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at St. Andrew Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4-6 PM on Monday, February 8, 2016 with a Scripture Service conducted at 5:00 PM at Fuller Metz Funeral Home, 3740 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, 239-542-3161.
