North Ft. Myers-David R. Baker,80, formerly of Scarborough, Me.died on 2/14/16 at Cape Coral Hospital with his family at his side. He was the beloved husband of wife Patricia Baker of 55 years. He was bo on 3/30/1935 in Pawtucket, R. I. the son of Florence Scott Baker and John Baker and grew up in Lincoln, R I .His occupation was as a truck driver and teamster for 30 + years until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the Elks, Moose and American Legion.He enjoyed fishing, golfing, biking, hiking and many other activities. He especially loved being of service to those in need of a fixit man and was a member of theTamiami Village "Home Wreckers".David is survived by his wife, Patricia, of No. Ft. Myers and sons William and Steven, both of Scarborough, Maine ; granddaughters Jessica Degifico of Scarborough, Me, Caroline Baker of Yarmouth, Me. and grandson Andrew Baker of Portland, Me; great-grandchildren Luca Degifico, Liliana Baker, Natalia Baker, and Andrew Baker, Jr. He is also survived by his sister, Ruthie Baker of Summerfield, Fl . A memorial will be held at Tamiami Village at 10:30 AM Feb, 17.
